2026 Outreach Audition Info

This group is open to dancers in Ballet Levels 4, 5, 6, and Company, including Teen/ Adult Ballet, who are committed to flawless attendance in their other dance classes and rehearsals, and who are prepared to take on another weekly class and commit to participation in events outside the studio and weekly meeting time. Outreach Ensemble is a one semester commitment, with Auditions held in August and January. Outreach Ensemble will have the same tuition rate as other NCD classes, however it does not require an additional Registration Fee. We do ask that dancers in the Outreach Ensemble provide 1 or 2 costume base elements that will be used for several performances.This Fall, our Outreach Ensemble will be performing a Pirates themed dance in NCD's Zombie Ballet, performing for our Schools to Dance field trip show in the Arkley Center for 1,400 students from local schools, as well as other community performance and engagement opportunities that are in the works!

If you are interested in auditioning for Outreach Ensemble this Fall, please read the  Outreach Ensemble Information Letter below for full details, fill out the Audition Form, and then join us for Auditions! Auditions have an in-person dance component, and a photo and short video submission component (detailed below). Auditions for Fall Outreach Ensemble will be Thursday, August 20, from 5-6:30pm at NCD. Please arrive early so that you are ready to dance at 5:00!

The schedule for the audition is:

5:00 – 5:15 complete paperwork/stretch

5:15 – 6:15 dance audition (this will be FUN! Performance focused!)

6:15-6:30 discussion of Outreach Ensemble structure and expectations, time for questionsNote: Dancers in Ballet 6 and up will go directly from Outreach Auditions to their Nutcracker Audition at 6:30, and should come with all of their paperwork for both auditions done.

Submitting a dancer headshot and a short video (following one of the prompt options)  is also part of this audition. The deadline for us to receive submissions is 9pm Thursday, August 20. All details on that are in the attached Information Letter.
