Class & Tuition Information
Tuition & Rates
The academic year at North Coast Dance is divided into three sessions:
- Fall Session: Late August – Early December
- Spring Session: Late January – Early May
- Summer Session: Intensive for upper levels, Camps for the youth division, Tutu Tea Parties for the minis
Students are encouraged to participate consistently throughout the school year to support technical development, confidence, and classroom progression.

Tuition
Class Fee Breakdown (14 weeks)
Classes Meeting 1x per Week — $175/session
Classes Meeting 2x per Week — $336/session
Classes Meeting 3x per Week — $483/session
4 Classes per Week — $616/session
5 Classes per Week — $735/session
6 Classes per Week — $882/session
7 Classes per Week — $1,029/session
Tuition may be divided into installment payments throughout the session.

A $35 registration fee is due when enrolling in classes each Fall. This fee is charged once per academic year and helps cover class uniform costs. New students joining during the Spring Session will also pay the registration fee.
As part of registration, students receive a class-specific uniform item:
- Creative Movement–Company dancers receive a class leotard.
- Junior Jazz and Tiny Tap dancers receive a class leotard.
- Boys and male-identifying dancers receive dance tights.
- Jazz, Tap, and Contemporary dancers receive a class tank top.
Students enrolled in multiple classes or styles will pay an additional $20 registration fee for each additional class uniform required.
Please note that tights are not included with registration and may be purchased separately through the studio reception desk.

Tuition payments are due according to the published payment schedule for each session.
A $10 service fee will be charged for returned checks.

Drop-In Classes
Drop-In Class — $13
Drop-in availability is limited to eligible classes and instructor approval may be required.

Private lessons are available with many of our instructors. Families interested in private lessons should contact the studio reception desk for a list of teachers who offer private instruction.
Once you have selected an instructor, you will contact them directly to discuss lesson goals, availability, scheduling, and rates. Private lesson rates typically range from $40–$75 per hour, depending on the instructor and lesson type.
Private lessons are scheduled directly with the instructor, and payment is made directly to the instructor at the time of the lesson.

Performance Fees
Students participating in productions may be charged participation fees to help offset:
- Theatre rental costs
- Costuming expenses
- Production and administrative costs
Examples include:
- Zombie Ballet Participation Fee: $50 per dance
- Nutcracker & Holiday Dances Participation Fee: $85
- Spring Show Participation Fee: $85 per dance
- Spring Gala Participation Fee: $50
Performance fees vary by production and are announced prior to rehearsals and casting.

Production Withdrawal Policy
Students who withdraw from a production after casting, except in the case of a documented medical reason, may incur a withdrawal fee and may impact future casting consideration.
Because productions rely on the commitment of every dancer and family, we ask students to carefully consider rehearsal and performance schedules before accepting roles.

Scholarships
North Coast Dance believes dance education should be accessible to all students. Limited need-based scholarships are available each year for qualifying families.
